guys i did maf reading with vagcom today, but i dont understand anything, can anyone have a look on readings and tell me if maf works fine.
The engine speed was 3129 at 3rd gear

Here are readings

all this reading at engine speed 3129 on 3rd gear

Group A 003

Engine speed 3129
MAF (specified) 320
MAF (actual) 671.3
EGR duty cycle 4.8

Group B 008

Engine speed 2982
IQ driver's req 50.2
IQ via rpm(Torq) 50.8
IQ via MAF 56

Group 004

Engine speed 3129
Spec start of inj. 19.5
Spec inj. duration 22.4
Synchro. angle 1.1

Thanks guys

The MAF (specified) ought to match the MAF(actual), yours looks very low.

You'd be better off doing a 3rd gear pull measure group 010. That will tell you if your MAF value is moving at all. In my case, my MAF was constantly reading the same value.

Do you have any engine fault codes?

Faulty MAF could cause that from what I've heard. Would be useful if you can do that MAF measure as detailed above.

MAF is easy to replace, and only about £70 for the reconditioned original Bosch unit (at least it was for my AWX).

i did measured block 011 today, at engine speed 3360 on 4th and 5th gear. First i could not believe it how fast my car is, first time i took her to this limits, second this test should be done on runaway http://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif , i did not realise how fast i will run out of road (doing test on open 3 miles road with no traffic).
After test i was driving back home, on hard acceleration my car developed new noise, kinder whistle noise comes for couple second on hard acceleration, i don't know if noise from turbo or just belt slipping on fan. Another question, can tests like this cause any damage to car?

OK here are results:

Group B: '011

Engine speed 3360
Spec. intake press. 2335.8
Actual intake press. 2269.8
D.cycle MAP 70.1

Group A: '010

MAF 1092.7
Atmos. pressure 1009.8
Intake air press. 2293.2
Throttle 73.3

Group C: '008

Engine speed 3171
IQ driver's req 0
IQ via rpm(Torq) 50.2
IQ via MAF 36.5

Thanks again

The measures themselves won't cause any damage. You'd be better off doing the tests in 3rd gear, you still get full turbo load, but don't have to go as fast.
Group 010 will give you MAF readings, and if you make VAGCOM log to a file you can see how the MAF measurement is changing along with the engine speed.
Are you experiencing any particular problems? Broken MAF can result in reduced power, rough idle, inconsistent power, and can also throw the pressure fault codes.

Quick disclaimer: I'm by no means an expert, my knowledge has been learned from this forum and my own Passat problems. A member called Crasher was really helpful.

i don't experience any particular problem, the only problem car feels every time different. Engine some time bit loud, i don't think it is enough power as well. MPG on my car is not very great, its oil under inter cooler pipe. Sometime grinding noise when accelerating, i don't know where it comes from.
All this happenes sometime, :aargh4:

I probably need some expert to drive my car, and tell me verdict

Yeah, your problems are probably out of my scope. There are some knowledgeable guys on here though, hope someone in the know picks up this thread.

Good Luck!

Lee
