GTI TDI 150 fan belt problem's

I've got a chattering from my fan belt tensioner when under load at low revs it has had a belt and tensioner on it and still does it, Now I am open for suggestions!!:aargh4::1zhelp:
Just getting on the wife's nerves who is getting on mine.

We had the same thing on my boy's Polo diesel. Eventually it got worse and started shredding the auxilary belt. CRASHER advised it might be the one- way clutch mechanism on the alternator seized up....he was right. We swapped it and the problem is solved.
