The Radio unit still says phone not installed when I press phone on head unit even though my phone is paired in and I can dial out and speak via roof mounted mic and the music mutes, the persons voice comes through the stereo system (http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_nkw=stereo+system). I cant use steering wheel controls or answer incoming call though.

Looking on net it looks like i need to connect VAG-COM and go in to instruments, radio (56) and change some numbers so the radio knows it's there and it enables steering wheel buttons.

Is this something you know about/can code in for a few beers or some sort of payment?

The software is free as long as you have a genuine dongle. If it's a knock off it won't. You go to ross tech site to download the latest version.

Coding:

Setting advanced comfort features where available - lighting, windows, security
Setting hidden interface features where available - startup needle sweep, large digital speedo for UK vehicles, MFA hidden user options etc.
Codings required as part of a retrofit process
Codings required for module replacement

Retrofits:

Navigation
Cruise Control
Power-folding mirrors/door-lighting


ALSO, genuine VCP Pro (CANBUS-ONLY, current verson) for those jobs VCDS can't do such as:

Hello guys, could really do with some advice/expertise with the above.

DPF, MIL and Glow lights on.
Had this before, had some to come and clean however the sensor was suspected as the problem, changed, cleared faults and away I went.

Car went into limp mode on the A5, just happened to pull up next to an rac breakdown truck. He plugged in and suggested maybe the dpf had broken inside because of the "efficiency below threshold"

Many differing opinions online. Any help or advice would be appreciated as this is my "new" disability car I treated myself to.

Reset airbag and engine management light. I'm new here and don't know if a thread like this exists so I thought I'd start one anyway.

The idea is that members can locate other members who have VAG-COM and that are willing to help.

Please note, this thread is to be used by those with VAG-COM. Any request for scans or help should be made in the general VAG-COM Information & Help (https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42) section of the forum

For those that don't know about vagcom, it is basically a PC based diagnostic software that provides you, the humble car owner, the ability to mend your own car! To briefly summarise what it can do;

1, Read and clear fault codes.

2, Monitor, display and log various system outputs (very useful for diagnosing intermittant problems)

3, Re-code engine car / parts for example if you swap your seats to those without side airbags where previously had them, the airbag controller will need re-coding.

4, Restore 'basic' settings, for example, the infamous throttle body alignment.

It does much more as well and in my opinion having vagcom to any home mechanic is as important as having a socket set!

Anyway, perhaps this should be a 'sticky' or if there is already a similar thread that should be made a sticky ?

Version is 15:something so won't cover the newest cars, and I have absolutely no intention of updating, as it simply 'works' and I hate all things Laptop/Systems related. I won't be updating, even if requested.
My experience - minimal but know my way around to put service lights out and run a diagnostic report. After that, it's down to you and your homework on the internets.

Hello mate. I’m from swindon and I need your help if possible, I need to allow my radio (Symphony 2) from an Audi tt mk2 for the Aux cable that I plugged on the back of the radio.

Got a sticky problem that needs unsticking!

08 A3 CR170 that's had its immobiliser bypassed, we are assuming because it's knackered.

I've a used Clockset with accompanying ecu, locks, ignition, key etc but have zero clue!!

Very scant info from the greasy seller so we've got what we've got to work with.

Any help would be ace.

(VCP Registered - similar to VCDS but can do a few extra things like VIM etc no longer have VCP, Do have OBDeleven as well as VCDS purely to unlock SFD on newer cars)

I'm new here and don't know if a thread like this exists so I thought I'd start one anyway.

The idea is that members can locate other members who have VAG-COM and that are willing to help.

Please note, this thread is to be used by those with VAG-COM. Any request for scans or help should be made in the general VAG-COM Information & Help (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42) section of the forum

For those that don't know about vagcom, it is basically a PC based diagnostic software that provides you, the humble car owner, the ability to mend your own car! To briefly summarise what it can do;

1, Read and clear fault codes.

2, Monitor, display and log various system outputs (very useful for diagnosing intermittant problems)

3, Re-code engine car / parts for example if you swap your seats to those without side airbags where previously had them, the airbag controller will need re-coding.

4, Restore 'basic' settings, for example, the infamous throttle body alignment.

It does much more as well and in my opinion having vagcom to any home mechanic is as important as having a socket set!

Anyway, perhaps this should be a 'sticky' or if there is already a similar thread that should be made a sticky ?
