Hi All
Was coming home today and as I turned into my street, the car seemed to loose power and the engine seemed to be rather lumpy. Got her to the driveway and noticed the ' Exhaust Emission Warning Lamp' thing started blinking at me, indicating that she was misfiring, according to the owners manual. Or to qoute the manual, ' If the catalyst can be damaged by misfires'. Foned the mechanic and he mentioned something about a mini coil ???
Anyway, have to take it to him tomorrow morning to get it diagnosed.
The mechanic is about a quarter of a mile away. Is it safe to drive the car to him ???
Any help, views or advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Mark

Is it not possible to get the Mechanic to travel the 1/4 mile or are you thinking he'll charge a call out?

Hi Euroslap,
Thanks for getting back to me.
He wouldnt charge a call out. He reckons that driving the 1/4 mile wouldnt harm the car. I disagree !!

It's these should be ok's that tend to haunt you a few hundred quid later isn't it? :aargh4:

Just to update this.
Drove to the mechanic this morning, bit lumpy but no problem.
Turned out to be ignition coil no 3.
Was replaced and the computer reset for £50
Well happy !!!

Mark.
