Hi

First time poster, long time reader.....

I have a 08 A4 B8 S-Line 2.0 diesel in White, love the car but I like to have my gadgets in place.

I am a big fan of Brodit clips and have 2, one for my Ipod place at the left of the stereo at the same level as the gear stick and one by the display screen for my PDA/Sat Nav.

One thing I can no abide is cables, and like to feed the cables behind the centre consol. However, for the life of me I can not work out how to remove the stereo.

It is the standard stereo in the A4, with Audi Concert written on the front. There are no obvious holes or slats to puch things into and the front doesnt seem to come off. Have Audi removed my facility to hide my cables???

Thanks in advance

Steve

You need to firstly remove the plastic shroud around the MMI screen, then remove the heating vent's that are above the radio, this should reveal the top 2 bolts that hold the radio in place, then there are a further 2 bolt's to remove that sit behind the panel for the climate control.

You should then be able to remove the radio........................

As another Brodit fan I've got both clips - side of stereo and beside MMI screen. Settled for the higher version for my XDA (as i run TomTom) - but I need to lose the cable. If you have managed to remove the silver MMI shroud and vents, I'd be interested to know how you fared as I've yet to approach mine with a crow bar yet.
