Not sure BUt if your car has a turbo ( sorry dont know that much) it could be the intercooler seals.
It started with a few drips of oil on the ground near to front nearside. Hard to tell where it was comming from as it had run along the engine shield to escape. I took the shield off and was relieved ( or not ) to see that the engine was dry but the intercooler pipe joint Wet. Quickly, within weeks, the spots of oil turned into a good fist full size patch.
Mine were first done on warranty. then again paid ,13 months later, by me and then 3 months later again which VW paid for and then again 1 month on by VW!!
Located to the nearside bottom .. nearside between the radiator and arch. It would seem that the seals are good but the design of where the intercooler pipe connects at this point is poor. Think that VW disturbed the whole show to begin with or refitted them wonky.
I'm sure they know this but i think they ended up replacing the seals again and pipe ( or modified the existing one!)
No problems since then.
hope this helps.. Cheers :beerchug:

I've had a loose oil filter before which was the source of a leak, hope you get it sorted !

This is now sorted. It was a small hole in the oil filter, changed it and put new oil in.
