easy job. first remove the upper shroud behind the steering wheel by undoing the two philips screws either side from below. pull it up at the front< towards steering wheel>, then pull towards you. put this to one side, then undo the two screws that this was hiding at the bottom of the instrument panel. the panel will then pull out from the bottom first. there will be wiring connectors you need to pull off. two have a red tag in the middle. pop this up with a screwdriver and wriggle the connector off, then remove the panel. the bulb for the clock is next to the yellow connector. now is also a good time to check for any dry joints and resolder if required<if you temp guage doesnt work>. i havnt tried a blue bulb kit but have seen them on ebay. i did struggle to get standard bulbs though as the bulb and mount are one piece, so dont try to pull the bulbs out. reassemble is reverse of removal.:D

my local supplier has a large box with loads of different ones in, and none fitted. I think vag are the best bet as there are 3 different types in there. had a look on that link and not sure?

the 3 control knobs just pull off, they will be tight but they do. behind youll find two screws, undo these and off she comes.
