I have a full RS4 black leather interior that I am thinking of selling, long story but I searched for ages as i wanted the 2 front seats for a VW project I was doing, but as ever plans change and the project has been sold as is. It is from a 56 plate saloon, both front Recaro CS seats, fully electric/heated, rear seats heated, all 4 doors cards with carbon inserts, centre armrest in leather and even the gearknob & gaitor with carbon surround. I cant even find a set previously sold for comparison so has anyone any ideas. I dont want to admit what I paid for it but it wasnt cheap, the salvage yard knew what they were breaking !!!

Hi they are packed away in storage at the moment, this is not a for sale thread but I am looking for opinions as to what they are worth, if anyone has seen a set for sale. Pics wise they are the same seats as any current model Recaro CS equipped RS4. When I do sell they will be unpacked, cleaned and a full set of photos posted. Cheers.

Hey,
I think they would be worth about £50, but as I'm kind I'll offer you £100 right now!! :biglaugh:
Seriously though, it's one of those things that come up so rarely that they are likely to be worth what ever the person you can find that really wants to buy it is willing to pay!! If you know what I mean? You could only get two people interested, wanting them for a fraction of their real worth but that's your call. As for a market value, try phoning around some specialist breakers and see how much they are offering it for then base your price around that!!
Hope that helps

Just as well I only paid a tenner for them then !!
I know these days with this credit crunch rubbish that everything is only worth what someone is willing to pay, exactly why our cars are depreciating so fast they will be worth the same as an empty bean tin in a years time but s**t happens. I have rang a couple of breakers but these are so rare I havent been able to get a price of anyone, hence the thread on here. I was hoping that someone may have spotted a set actually for sale rather than a salvage dealer with a price pulled out of their a**e and doubled. Thanks for the advise though and if no one has any idea then I think it will be a Ebay job, people can then bid what they are prepared to pay rather than me fixing a price.
Cheers.

theres one on ebay at the moment, bid upto £1270. he says hes been offered £1500 and turned it down!!!. looks like theres plenty of bidders on it. I just put in RS4 interior to find it. might be a good one to watch to see what it goes for.

I will have a full retrim in the color choice i want for that much from transcal ! Seriously, thats an awfull lot of cash and you need to pick them up, pay someone to fit then figure out the wiring as well. I would rather drop the car, wait 2 weeks then pick the car up with the seats covered in new hide and with no hassle ! Just me 50p worth !

True, but this probably includes a lot more than just trim, I would guess were talking fully electric heated seats, multi function wheel etc plus all trims etc.

I'm pretty sure the bucket seats alone to buy are in the region of £1000+
I did find a website that was selling them but can't recall it now to check the price.

RS4 seats aren't just A4 items clad in leather they are top of the range fully electric Recaro CS memory seats. If it is just leather that you wanted you could buy a second hand leather A4 interior for much less than £1300. A bit like comparing a standard petrol A4 to an RS4, chalk and cheese !!:banghead:

I do know the difference man, what i have said that 1300 quid its a lot of money and for that price i could have a two tone leather retrim fully fitted. Whatever you do, if you gonna transplant RS4 seats into your run-off-the-mill vehicle, it wont be an rs4 innit ? I would not even bother wiring the seats at it needs the control module and the control pannel + the full seats/door wiring loom off the donor car. Without these, its much easier to have your own seats retrimed and shaped to be similar to these recaros ! For 1500-1700 i could have Carisma retrim the full interior including the dash in what colour i want ! Anything over 2k and you looking at realy wild stuff, ice install, roof lining in alcantara and much more !

Mate this thread is going in the wrong direction I was asking forum users in the know for their opinion on price, I'm not interested in peoples views on how money should be spent. Just to say though the seats have an airbag connector, a heated seat connector and a connector to power them up which is just positive and negative, you could plug them into the fag lighter, you dont need the whole loom any competent person with basic knowledge of electrics could get them working. Carisma must be miracle working trimmers if they can reshape standard seats to be like those in an RS4 !!!

Don't the RS4 seats grip you under cornering?

what did the set on ebay go for ? i forgot to put it in my ebay. there is no comparison between a normal seat and a recaro, with the sides to grip you in corners, and that recaro badge. dreamy. i would love to give them a good home in my coupe, but think they would be much better in a rs4 copy that someone is building, just to give it some authenticity.hope you get what they are worth when you sell them.

It sold off Ebay so I'm not sure. I have mailed him to ask but not heard back but he had turned down offers of £1500 according to the Q&As displayed on the ad. There is another set in Germany just come on Ebay at £2.5k !!!!
