Problem with Wiper Stalk

Hi Everyone

We are Passat owners living in Poland. Have a 1991 B3 Estate (Kombi). The wiper stalk switch is faulty and operates washers whenever it is used even the flick wipe and intermittent wipe. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Sound like a faulty wiper stalk (internal contacts worn and arcing across each other)
