Hello,

Having been looking around most people seem to have the phone system low and it sounds like it does much the same as my High system.

I haven't got the cradle facility but other than that does anybody else know what the difference is??

I suppose the question should be "Am I the only person to have wasted my money on the High Level Phone?":o

(.........and why hasn't anybody else got a sunroof????;))

I actually hate having windows and sunroofs open when driving over about 20mph! The noise does my head in.....much prefer to stick the AC on. Hence no sunroof for me!

make that three, I have a sun roof and just love it in the summer ... when we get one. I also use the auto close feature all the time. (closes all the windows and sun roof when locking the car)

Good to see that other people appreciate fresh air as much as me!!!!

The question on the phone kit as to what you get is the bit that puzzles me!! It costs more money but doesn't come with the physical cradle / interface - I have no idea what it gives you extra, I still can't see all my numbers but that is probably more down to pilot error or lack of patience (or to many numbers at about 350).

There must be something better about the system otherwise I have been mugged!!!:aargh4:

I've got an Sline on order and went for the Phone High, its supposed to improve reception and save battery life, did you find this the case?

does anyone know if it's possible to add the Phone Low as an add-on now that I have got the car?? I stupidly didn't order it and it is the only thing that is bugging me about the car, having the button there without having the service available.

i have phone prep high! not sure of the benifits of having it but it only appears to read the sim card for contacts so i have had to copy all mine to the sim for them to be listed. When in remote sim mode you have limied functions on the phone and the rest is through the MMI. Cant really say if it helps with battery but think it does help with singal

I have the High Phone prep, again not exactly sure what it does, but it does work nicely with my Sony Ericsson W910i. I did have a 2G iPhone but I couldn't get it to work with the A4, so I sold it and went back to my trusty Sony.

I always keep my contacts on my SIM card, that way you always take them when you change phones. Mind you, does seem to play silly buggers with peoples First Name / Surname, but that might be casue I haven't played with it much.

Overall, would reccomend getting a phone prep (high or low) as it is way easy to use, very useful when you want to talk and drive (motorways).

Both phone prep high and low are exactly the same, just where the phone point is located, centre armrest for low or on the dash (?) for high (I currently have phone prep in my 05 A3 and is located on the dash). The system will work using bluetooth, which sounds like what you all are using. The improved reception and battery life only applies if you can acquire a compatible cradle which should attach to the front/top of the phone point and you use the phone via he cradle rather than bluetooth.

Hope this helps
