Hi All,

As per the title does anyone know the answer to this question?

My reason for asking is that I currently have two children in forward facing child seats (not isofix) and I'm a little concern that if the rear seat (curtain) airbags go off whilst the child seats are in postion this will put them in danger by throwing the seats forward / sideways etc!

Or is it possible that the airbags have been design with this in mind and are safe to be left on?

In reading the seat guidelines (britax) its not really that clear to me if its just rear facing child seats that are impacted by this

Thanks in advance

As far as i'm aware it is only the rear facing seats in the front that are the problem. That rule is put in your face all over the place and there is no mention of it for any other seat or for forward facing seats. I have 2 forward facing seats in the back of mine with no concerns ;)

Hi there..

Without saying yes or no as im not for 100% sure, i would rather not comment with it invloving your kids..

However... this video below may help you... its a side impact crash test on the Audi A4 B7 - showing you the side curtain airbags during impact
