Hi all,

I'm having a struggle here. Despite having a hand in cast I serviced the Sharan. Fuel filter caused a wee problem in the black plastic thing (valve?) not coming out. I disconnected the hoses and freed the plastic thing (what is it?) with the fuel filter off the car. My problem now is that the hose leaks, atleast I think it is the hose, it might be the o seals.
I have tried adjusting etc and cannot get a seal. I have ordered two o rings (blue and black) for the plastic valve that sits in the fuel filter.

My question is about the hose. THis is the Left hand rear hose as you look from the front of the car. It's about 150mm long and connects to a steel pipe running along the engine bay. Can the hose be exchanged by unscrewing from the steel pipe or is it really crimped on?
Seems like a flaw to me if it is crimped as why would you fit a perishable item to a steel pipe? I don't want to try and unscrew it incase it is not the case.
Any ideas?

Daz

Replaced the check valve seals today and it still leaks, will order a new check valve today and see how that goes?:zx11:

Oh yes, teh rubber hose attached to the fuel line is a complete component. All the way to the fuel tank.
