As far as I know there are two.
One is a KKK k24. the other Im not sure of.
Depends what your upgrading for.In my opinion the K24 is awsome for fast road use as it spools really quickly and kan hold over 25psi (you cant go more without installing ARP head bolts as the head will start to lift)
You will prob find thet your turbo is fine but you just need to increase the boost.
On the k24 you just adjust the screw at the end of the wastgate.

hey man thanks for the reply - i was beggining to think no one knows - ive tried to get the part number from vag cat and it comes up as a kkk.
i was going down the route of intercooler - turbo - injectors - map - to try and get a vr6 beating mk3 tdi but from what you are telling me i may not need a new turbo .... whats the max i can push the kkk at and other mods you may suggest?

This is the stuff i have done to the AAZ 1.9TD lump that i have fitted to my mk 1 caddy.
Induction kit with cold air feed.
Full 2.5in exhaust system (Turbo back so includes downpipe).
front mount intercooler.
Modify your boost pin. (this is in the top section of your fuel pump and brings your fuel on earlier)
Check what turbo you are running. (I have the K24 which is great) and wind up your boost by adjusting the nut at the end of the wastegate (install a boost gauge so you know what your boosting to) only take up to 25psi (after about 27psi it will start to lift the head)
Lighten the flywheel
You can get uprated pumps too.
I would say that you DEFF need to make sure you have a clutched alternator and if you do not then get one off a late mk3 tdi or a mk4 as without one too much strain will go on your crank pully and these engines suffer with crank wobble (not good).

hi steve-o, not wanting to threadjack but I was wondering where you got your exhaust system from as I'm looking for one for my td. And about the clutched alternator, do you have any more information about this? Will one just fit straight on to the engine or will I have to make some brackets and whathaveyou.
cheers for your time

I used to own a performance garage called underground performance but now just import and sell cars.
We used to do all sorts from bolt ons to engine swaps inc making full systems so it was a piece of cake to knock up a full system.
You can buy some but they are pricey. AL on the vw caddy site sells turbo down pipes and it will only be a couple of hundred to get a 2.5 inch cat back system made.
I cant fully remember not. i think you need the alternator bracket too that bolts to the engine
