I appologise if you have already read this thread in a different area, but i wasnt sure on which area to post in for best results, so i decided both :o.

Im looking at getting her lowered, and coilovers seem the best bet,

Can anyone recomend any sets? im looking at that lowered stance, but obviously i would still like to keep in comfortable.

Thanks again guys

I'm still trying to decide what coilovers to put on my MK3. Be aware that if you lower the Mk4 more than about 30mm the suspension legs can foul on the anti roll bar. There's a few people that make extended drop link kits for this reason and for more money again you can get an uprated anti roll bar kit that doesn't foul. ;)

so dropping it 40mm is going to cause me hassle... hmmm

Do you know where they sell these extended drop link kits?

Cheers mate

I'd have a word with Venom motorsport, I'm pretty sure they'll do the kits. Once they've been fitted you can go well low with no probs. :D

thats a decent price, excuse my simpleness but what is it that the drop link kit does?

also i found these. now i kno its ebay, and i dont like ebay, but

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/********-Coilover-Suspension-Kit-VW-Golf-MKIV-MK4-NEW_W0QQitemZ120304496908QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item1 20304496908&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C24 0%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Thats a decent price right?

They reposition the ARB so the driveshafts and suspension legs don't foul, the uprated ARB's obviously reposition everything for no fouling. ;)

I've seen some kits from Germany and Holland on Ebay for about £200 with front and rear coilovers with helper springs for a plush ride.

You'll only need the drop links for the front. Bargain price by the way, nice one. let me know what you think of them once they're fitted and if you can post some pics. before fitment, these are the ones I was thinking of buying for mine. :D
