Hi All
This is my first post here, so aplologies if this has already been answered, I have had a good look through the posts, and not found anything..

So here is the problem..

Car revs fine, pulls like a train, however in low revs is is stuttering and tends to miss a bit as well. As a result it is almost impossible to use 6th gear unless doing over 2k rpm.

Ihave recently purchased this car, which is in mint condidtion, full VAG history with 73k miles.

Any tips and hints would be wonderful.

I am also looking into chipping... any comments on the best sstem, or indeed if it is a total waste of time!!

Thanks all

A good mapping centre should be able to diagnose your problem so if you're going to get it mapped you could always kill two birds with one stone. :D

The problem is when hot, and it is an intimitant missfire normally at low revs... There is stacks of power until you go into 6th, where is feels very underpowered..

On the re-chip front, are there any suggestions for a prefered company??

Many thanks for yor replies.

Jeremy

To be honset the cars dont really pull that amazing in 6th just in-case with you just getting the car(but no saying you dont no what a miss-fire is etc but just dont expect too much).would go with above remap suggestion to sort both issues, where you located at?

Located in Poole Dorset, but work in Trowbridge in Wiltshire...

I have had various VAG diesels over the years, and this one certainly has a fair amount of punch, just with the missfire!!

Drove my other half's 225 bhp TT into work today, and the gold has stacks more torque than that - except for 6th gear!!
