S3 Mirrors.

My father's got an 02 facelift S3 with body coloured mirrors on which he's been considering changing for the brushed aluminium mirrors for a while. Anyway, I was on ebay looking for a pair the other day and there was a pair of original units which were off a pre facelift model and the advert stated pre facelift only. I was under the impression that the mirrors were the same fitment between the 99-01 and 01-03 facelift models, does anybody know any different? :confused:

They are different, I've got a pre-facelift model and bought post-facelift ones.

If you are just buying the mirror casings then you'll find the screw holes don't match up. If you are replacing the whole mirror unit then it doesn't matter. The bolt hole and the connector are exactly the same.

I have a set of the facelift S3 mirror housings that I'm looking to sell. Had to take them off my 2001 A3 when I sold it.

Hi there mate, Ive got a Silver X-Reg (2000) pre-face lift A3 and have got a set of Complete Genuine S3 Mirrors fitted however I want to sell them or part-exchange them for a set of original mirrors, the mirrors were fitted to my car by the previous owner but im not sure if the mirrors were from a pre-face lift or post face lift S3? Are you intrested? :approve:

A bit late I'm afraid, I've already bought a pair earlier tonight off dft14 (nice one dft14, I've left some rep power), cheers anyway mate. ;)
