How to tell if my A3 1.8T is already remapped?

Ok,
I`m leaving myself wide open for some serious sarcasm but I`ll ask any way!
Just bought a 1998 A3 1.8T it had a baileys dump valve fitted which I`ve subsequently removed, how ever, is there any way of finding out whether it`s been remapped? OK I realise it should be quicker and torquer but I`ve nothing to compare it too! I`ve asked my local Revo dealer and told me he could only right over the old 'remap' and would not be able to tell me whether it was already done.

The best way to tell is find someone near to you who has a rolling road which is the only real way to accurately guage the BHP,try having a word with Will at p-torque.co.uk, I don't know where you're based but he's in the w.mids and really knows his onions.

Put it on a decent rolling road and see ehat power outputs you get..
