Hi All.
I have recently put leds sidelights, led tail lights(stop and tail), stop and reverse lights into my A4 2006.
However,
They do not switch off...........they do but eventually.
When the battery is engaged, i.e the doors unlocked all the lights switch on, barely switch on but switch on nonetheless.
After locking turning off the ignition and locking up the car they all switch off together after around 30 seconds but this is annoying because whilst driving at night the white reverse lights are slightly on, this gives a cool effect on the rear cluster but not quite what I was looking for.
Any advice???

LEDs are for B8 A4s and A6 Avant tail lights really.
I've seen a member on here fit A6 Avant LEDs to his A4 Avant but only at great expense/time/technical help from an expert.
Have you got coming home lights on your car by any chance? My gf's Golf keeps it lights on for around 30 seconds when you lock it up.

Defo not coming home lights.
Not aftermarket tail clusters thought. Just aftermarket bulbs, greater light and longer lasting. Nice upgrade also.
Noticed only minutes ago that the hazard warning button on the centre console stays lit also and shuts down at the exact same time.
I would never installs those aftermarket LED strips, cheap and tacky. If you want a B8 buy one!
I belive it will be to do with the can-bus wiring and the fact that the resistance for the led bulbs will not be the same as the normal bulbs.

I would guess it is something to do with the bulb out warning for the dashboard. I think it is putting a small amount of power to them to check continuity and because they are LED they only need small amounts of power to illuminate.

you need to add resistors to the circuit ... I fitted LED DRL's to my RS4 .. write up in the RS section of tyresmoke
