Hi,
I'm just about to join the happy world of Audi ownership, (well company car).
My question is should i spec the USB connection or Ipod interface. I have both usb memory sticks and an Ipod.
If i spec the ipod link i assume the usb connection is lost however if i chose the USB connection could i then plug the ipod usb cable into the socket thereby enabling me to use both.
Also what kind of functionality can i expect from both options.
Cheers
Mike

I've got a sony unit with both aux and usb connection and can swap from one to the other. With the memory stick option the radio controls are used to change track , album , file etc. However don't know if this is the case with a factory fitted unit.

Both are crap IMO, you wont get any sort of track information on the headunit display.
I'd put the money towards an RNS-E sat nav unit and utilise the 2 SD card slots that are built into it instead - this gives full control and display of all track information.

Cheers Issac, i've got my ipod with me so a trip to Audi is in order to try it out. I agree if it doesn't provide info i'll be lost with an 80gb ipod.

All you get on the headunit is track 1, track 2, track 3 etc. Its complete pants.

I am looking at getting a new headunit.
I was wondering if it is possible to power a 250GB Vertabim USB powered hard drive from a headunit such as the JVC KD-AVX44 (cheapest I could find with rear USB input and bluetooth)?
If it is possible is there anyway of navigating through the album/film folders on the screen and having the song information displayed (rather than track1, etc)?
