Right Tyre Size

hi there

i have a 53 plate a4 1.8t quattro.

can any one help on what is the right tyres size to go on it

some people say 225/45/17 and other say 235/45/17

235/45/17" is the standard size. I run 225/45/17"s and the speedo reads a little high as the diameter of the tire is too small. I'll probably end up replacing them with 215/50/17"s as I don't want a wider tire for the crappy Finnish roads.

ive got the 235/40/18 tyres (s-line quattro). on the quattro you need the tyre wall strength (heavier car) mine are 95y. tried cheaper tyres once with lower speed rating and at speed or fast cornering you could feel wobble. tyre wall flexing. now i stick to extra load or 95. check yours before you spend any money
