130 tdi vs 150 tdi

hi guys can anybody tell me the difference (engine) between the 130 and the 150 tdi golfs.

is it just the ecu or is there a different turbo's and internals.

Mainly turbo, intercooler system, ECU, EGR, downpipe/cat and no it isn’t practical what you are thinking.

...but Superchips claim a 31 bhp improvement for £499 including fitting. I have seen good reports of their products being used on a Golf TDI on this forum, but have no personal experience.

I prefer plug in tuning boxes. The one I use is the STEINBAUER P-Box which gives 32PS more for £500. The problem with remapping a TDI is they can cause horrendous problems for mechanics when trying to diagnose running problems. Most mechanics will tell you that this has been a problem for them at some point.
