Helper spring on S-line shock

The helper spring part number 4 in the attached picture. Does anyone know if this is the same part in non S line shocks? I've looked up the part number and there only seems to be one spring for all A4 shocks regardless of S or non S.

Picture doesnt appear to be a wound steel spring but maybe some form of rubber spring to stop car from bottoming out?

Can anyone confirm?
