Quattro oil change

I had a mail shot from Audi saying that I should change the oil in the Quattro gearbox.

My local dealer has emailed me to say that my brake fluid should be changed, but didn't mention the gearbox oil..

Does anyone know whether the gearbox oil change is necessary, or just a nice to do? Any ideas on cost?

It's a 56 plate 3.0 TDI

dont worry the service admin are sending the wrong info out and torsen diff doesnt need the oil changing,only multitronic gearbox has a set interal for oil change.The service admin think all quattro drive use haldex coupling (tt,s3,r8)
