my rear washer seems to be blocked or sumthing? it makes the noise as if the water is coming through, but on closer inspection the water is seeping through the roof and sides of my car and ive now found water on my cd changer and electrics in the boot.
bizarely, there is water also leaking from the bottom of my car onto the road, when i try using the rear washer also.
any ideas any1?
thanks in advance.... steve

Pull the rear trim off the boot (after removing the two screws in the handles). The plastic collar has probably come off hence you are getting water all over the place... this could get into your boot lock and start setting your alarm off if you're unlucky (famous Luggage Compartment open alerts). If the collar is cracked and won't push back on without leaking, you'll need a bit of silicone hose and a few cable ties to do a makeshift fix..
Just work your way from one corner and prise the plastic trim off. You need to prise quite hard but dont tug it with too much force or you'll break the plastic retaining bits for the metal clips!

Try not to stress mate - I had this problem and fixed the rear washer jet myself, however, the problem with the boot lock came back and in the end I had to get it done at the dealer's for peace of mind. Once this episode is over you'll be happy again.
If you start getting the alarm going off, you can take out the internal light fuse to placate your neighbours (fuse panel to the inside of driver's door... from the top left, it's the 3rd right, then 3rd down.
eg:

Note that you will lose remote central locking but it's not that much of an issue.

The central locking will play up as its got wet from the washer leaking and the alarm is playing up because the locking is playing up as it doesn't know wether the car is locked or unlocked etc! The washer is a common problem but easily fixed. Hope you sort it..
