Sorry, but I'm a rookie to the site. I know that I've read about the overheating issues in the forum, but I'm at a complete loss. Per the dealer, I have no head gasket leak. I just replaced the temp. sensor, and the thermastat. It's still overheating. Now thinking about the water pump. Does anyone have any images for me to see where it's located and how it can be replaced. Any info. would be much appreciated.
I'm no expert but I've seen on a few posts in here that the water pumps can fail so you may well be right. The impeller is apparently made of plastic and shears off. Lots of people get the water pump replaced at the same time as the cam belt (which drives the pump).
The pumps are only about £50 but it's the labour charges.
How many miles has your car done? Has the belt been replaced?
