My Audi has a intermittent misfiring problem. When driving you can feel her misfiring thru out rev range, at idle the rev's drop then pick up again, then everything smooth again. She's sometimes cuts out when idling or reversing. Any idea's?. The mileage is about 84,000 ('98 A4). been regularly serviced according to service book, last done Jan 2008. :1zhelp:

Thats sounds like the MAF meter... I replaced my one on my 1999 S4 and it completely transformed my car... I put it in to Wallace Performance and they put it on the rolling road and found the fault.
I got one at Taylors up the Lang Stracht... next too Lidels... I think it was Taylors anyway... Bosch agents..
It cost £67... and it was an easy job to fit... managed myself... If thats doesnt help am very sorry...
