Hi, i've recently purchased a 2003 2.0 FSI which has the factory fitted Audi Symphony Stereo (6 CD changer, cassette, radio) and Bose Speakers.
The CD player is temperamental - quite fussy about what CD's it will play and one may play fine in say CD slot 1 and then won't play in other slots... yet sometimes other slots work ok.... very fussy!!! Any ideas what the problem is (apart from snobbery to my taste in music?!)
Anyway, rather than clutter car with CD's i'd much rather be able to play my ipod - i've got FM transmitter type which plugs into cigarette lighter but due to it's position close to gear knob and handbrake it's not practical.
Can anyone help me with what type of adapter I can get fitted? I'd rather not upgrade head unit to latest version that has this built in (i think from 2007 onwards?)
Any advice would be grateful!
