OBD port on 1996 T4 ?

Hi all,

I'm going to look at a 96 T4 and was wondering if I could read the codes off it ?
If so, any idea where the OBD port is located to plug the scanner into ?

There is a port on these vans located in the dash.

On mine (2.4d) the only information that’s available relates to the immobilizer.

Unless it has a TDI engine it wont help at all, as said, the 2.4d is indirect injection with a mechanical pump(Ancient technology!). Tdi has a electronic pump and is a direct injection engine.
