Just purchased s-line badge and two small clips from Audi. My A3 s-line is 2005 three door with the older split grill with five horizontal slates. Not sure how it fits on due to the small lip at the back of the slates. If this was flat no worries but I think I may have the wrong fitting clips - any ideas.
Thanks

Did you have any joy with this? I've got the same issue with an S-Line badge for the 5-slate front grill.

yea, i just bought a S-Line grill badge off the net....and was hoping it would be as easy fit onto a 05 Plate 3 Door A3 S-line .... wat is proving difficult??

This is the one i got...

is this the same as the one you got?

Thought A3 s-lines came with the badge anyway or is that just the trapezoid grilled models?

Yep same one but didn't come with the clips. Will make a trip to the hardware store to see what will work - am thinking superglue won't last with the heat from the engine.

bit of an update for you nmorjaria...

I got the ebay item i pasted this morning...after some modifications to the badge itself...I have just finished fitting it. if it works, I'll take let you know how i did it - and take a few pics for you.

I fitted my one yesterday and has stayed on after a day of driving!

What i did was a made the gap on the badge back wider - to accommodate the wider grill panels on my grill. Then - once i had it fitting on the grill I used silicon sealer - it works a treat!

Hope this helps solve the problem!!

Thanks buddy. Glad it worked.
My grill seemed thin enough for the gap in the badge back so have just used a cable tie to hold it using the holes for now and it works well and stays snug in place.
