Trendline, Highline, Sport or SE. What are the differences on trim spec/levels. Are they all 6 speed. How do I tell if it's 100 or 130BHP?? I'm looking at 2002-2005 cars. Thanks.

The only way of correctly identifying 100 or 130 bhp engines is via the engine code, which is put on a sticker in the spare wheel well. Don't rely on the badge, as it's easy to change!!!

Thanks but this doesn't explain the different trim levels.

Click on Facts and Figures, then a model, it will show the equipment on each.

high line will have leather 100 bhp 5 speed
se could be 100 or 130 bhp cloth trim 5 speed
sport 130 bhp 6 speed
thats more or less the basics

ive had both 5 and 6 speed boxes i found the 5 speed better

I always thought the 6 speed is better, but in what way the 5 speed is better and why?

Thanks. :)

i have the 6 speed at the moment i find i have to change gear allot more often, it will pull 6th gear at 40/50 mph with no problems so that 6 changes be fore you get to 50 mph.

rev difference is only 400 revs yes that's right 400! less in 6 that a 5 speed car is in 5th
i suppose its better if you do a lot of motor waydriving

Ah right,

For me i will hardly do any motorway journey as i am only 19.
So is best to stick with the 5 speed for me.

Thanks for providing the informatoin to me. :)

Thanks for the replies guys, not too fussed about 5 or 6 speed, just the trim level, so looks like the Trendline or Highline is the one for me.
