ive noticed a big difference between so called "budget" tyres and hi performance ones. i would try and go for a premium tyre if you can. something like Continental Sport Contact 3's or Pirelli PZero Rosso's. (check out some of the reviews on these). a good indication is t see what is selling on the brand new show room cars. Im just in the process of changing all 4 on mine and am going for the continental Sp Cont 3's.

I'm running P zero Rosso at the moment and the grip in both dry and wet is superb. I've driven in the wet and can't really tell. I had a set of Michelin Primacy on my 16" alloys, they were long lasting. I'd either have Pirelli or Michelin after my experiences with other brands. Going from 16 to 17" 45 profile was not bad at all, maybe the Pirellis are good for comfort too!

I'm with Paul, I can't for the life of me work out why people buy budget tyres. It's the worst and most stupidist thing IMO. Why buy a good car and put cheap boots on. You can have all that car but the only feedback you get is from the 4 small contact patches. There's ok for granny who trundles to the shops.

Alot say Goodyear F1s are good, but, after reading many reviews the Pirelli Rossos came higher. Wear is said to be high on them though. Depends what you want out of tyre.

Good choice, I've got a couple of those on my fronts.
Only had them on for a hundred miles or so so was waiting for a bit before I commented but I can definately recommend them!!!!

Got mines from www.mytyres.co.uk as they were the cheapest!!
