Hello everyone, I have a vw passat 97. My key fob doesnt work so i replaced the batteries. The LED on the fob now just stays on all the time and it doesnt lock/unlock the car.followed the syncronisation procedure, but its simply not happening. LED on constant. Anyway round this? any help will be greatly appreciated.

The new battery, it is the same voltage as the old one?

i cant remmember to be honest, im using a CR2016 flat battery. im using 2 of these batteries. with a metal plate in between. ive tried other combinations, but this doesnt work...
