Was the GT TDi a 150bhp?
If so, then yes, its normal. Your TDi had a hell of a lot more torque and just as much BHP.
If it wasn't the 150bhp model, the torque still makes a hell of a lot of difference to how the car pulls from low revs.
Failing the above, a quick check of my autodata suggests you might have a problem with your wastegate regulating valve.
Never underestimate a TDi.

A good custom remap will see you pushing 200+bhp. :)

Alrite mate,
I had the same problem, the car feels like it should be doing more i have changed coil packs/air flow and nothing, Then i brought a boost controller which did help and was easy to fit, also i have taken off the standard recirulation valve and replaced it with a forge valve.
This did help quite a lot.

I thought that changing the D/V to a vta would only make it less responsive. It certainly shouldn't make it any faster. Upping the boost yes, but changing the D/V doesn't make it any faster. Just makes more noise.:dunno:

how do you set the boost on the boost valve? i was thinking of getting one but didn't know if i was going to blow the turbo up with too much boost so was going to get a boost gauge as well.
