Righty then my A4 Avant is squeaking when turning right, could this be the CV joint or nothing to worry about.

Hi,
Could be the tensioners on the Aux Belt?
Mine had the same, its a mod now too, £100 to fix.

Why would turning right make it squeak matey.

As the lock increaces, the more you turn, more pressue is applied to the belt hence more work for the tensioner.
If the tensioner is not working properly or the belt is not tight enough then then the squeaking noise is the belt slipping and it does not have enough tension in it to deal with the load of full lock.

I am not a mechanic but this is how it was explained to me, hope this helps.
Might just be a simple tighten up job of the aux belt

Have you checked your power steering fluid levels?

No the nuts are tight as Iv not long done the pads but the squeak is slower when turning at slow speed i.e when the drive shaft turns slower the squeak slows down. I think its a CV joint but not sure.
