new boots

Hi all

does anyone know what the original spec tyre is on a 2001 passat tdi 130 estate.
need some new boots and the choice is endless

What do you mean? Original factory type? On mine it was 205 55 16 W91 Continental Sport Contact, but there are plenty of better tyres, I hve had Goodyear Eagle F1 and Goodyear Excellence, bother were better, the Excellence are the best all rounders.

Thanks for the advice snapdragon, i only asked because i had a soft tyre the other day, the four on the car are dunlop sp 1 and the spare is a continental, so i thought the originals were probably continental, just wondered what was best
