audi s4 abs ecu?????????????

hi guys im abit confused can anyone tell me where i can fin the ecu for the abs unit on a 2000 model w reg s4 i thought it was the one connected too the pump in the engine bay. but i have been told buy rogerguy the testing people thats not the abs ecu

The ECU is bolted to the pump on version 5.3 but on version 5.0 it is on the left under the rear seat.

thanks but how will i know what version is my car i have seen a silver ecu unit under the back seat when i lifted it too clean under it will that bee the one?

The unit under the seat actually has ABS written on it. There may also be another module under there in the middle for the alarm but that has 'Alarm Module' written on it so the 2 can't be confused.

Sounds like it. It would have something like “Bremse electronic” or “steur gerät für ABS” written out it and the part number may be 8D0 907 389 A or E.
