can anyone help pleasemy car went to a main audi dealer just over a week ago with a cutting out and restart problem. they had the car for a week replaced 2 crank position sensor and fuel pump. charged me £755 i took the car away and 2 days later the same problem happened again. I got the RAC to tow the car to the garage. If they come back and try to charge for more stuff how can they justify the £755 they charged me which didnt actually solve the problem it went in with?

is this not the SAME problem I assisted you with on this thread?

it would appear you're posting the same issue in different threads, getting advice but not getting anywhere?
Calling the Dealer a ******* isn't going to make you appeal to those people on here who can probably help you the most.

Ill informed?
Ill advised?
Unprofessional?
Plenty of ways of saying what you mean without resorting to slating the one group of people who are going to help you.

That is a fair point.
Like going to a restaurant, having gone to all the inconvenience of getting there, being made to wait ages, suffering an aweful lot of attitude and then not being given the food you asked for. It wouldn't happen. You wouldn't pay.
It should be no fix, no fee.
Quite often they use a scattergun approach by firing loads of parts at a problem, hoping one will stick and sort the problem. All at the customers expense of course.
Obviously, there are exceptions but going back to my company car days, I've never witnessed one !

Big col thanks for the comment i am glad you can see where im coming from... i dont know what to do surely they cant do what they have done..
A for the other comments.. it wasnt directed at you so i dont see why you are being funny about it.. it was directed at my main dealer. who doesnt seem to know what the problem is but replaced parts anyway hence why i called them that....

They have told me i need a new fuel tank and pump what is in the fuel tank if that makes any sense to anyone?? apparently someone at some stage put the wrong fuel in the car and it has rotted the inside of the fuel tank or something. does that make sense to anyone...?? this is what they say is causing the car to cut out and not restart??

you are now talking in the present tense, as if you are footing the bill for these repairs, have you even spoken to the supplying dealer as I suggested on the other thread you currently have going on this subject?
A for the other comments.. it wasnt directed at you so i dont see why you are being funny about it.. it was directed at my main dealer. who doesnt seem to know what the problem is but replaced parts anyway hence why i called them that....the reason people are being 'funny' about it, is because referring to those you require help from as '********' is not going to keep them onside. I know for a fact, if someone insulted me and then asked for help, they'd be promptly shown the door.
perhaps if you are so unhappy with the whole series of events, you ought to do as I suggested and return the car to the dealer, get a refund and buy a car with fewer faults? That, to me, would seem the most straight forward solution, of most benefit to yourself.
P.S. care to name the dealer you're working with, I 'know people' and may be able to work with you to find a resolve :)

there's no harm in naming them on here, so long as what you say is factual, but sure, shoot me a PM if you don't wish to post their name up here

Cold you please tell me if a 2.0L a3TDi has a lining in the fuel tank and also if someone in the passed put petrol in the tank rather than diesel would it ruin the lineing, also would this type of problem cause the car to cut out and not restart. no coughing or spluttering just when you change gear the revs drop and it cuts out and doesnt restart.
Thanks
