Hi,

I am in the process of changing my company car and am considering a Touran. I am a high mileage driver (40,000 miles pa) so economy is very important to me.

Most (85-90%) of my driving is on the motoray at 70MPH. What do the 2.0 TDI manual and the 2.0 TDI DSG get when driving along the motorway as these sedate speed?

Thanks a lot

I have a touran 2.0TDI Sport, which I have had from new (nearly three years) I have covered 82K and the typical MPG (according to the computer) ranges from 45 to 48mpg for 75 to 80mph (this is based on the german autobahn speed limits!!!!!!!!!!) to 40mpg for typical urban driving. I too do a lot of motorway driving and I suppose get around 580miles to a tank. I have had it at over 50mpg on a long run before, driving carfully. I always have the aircon on too!

Anyone after more miles to their tank, we can offer economy remaps as opposed to performance remaps. These greatly increase MPG without decreasing your engines power. Please check out our site for more information.
