Help with alternator on passat please

Can anyone help please!
How do i remove the alternator on a 2 litre petrol passat?
I cant seem to remove the bottom bolt as it is hitting the fan
Do i really have to remove the fan and radiator to remove this bolt to release the alternator?
Really would appreciate any help on this

Yes you have to remove the fan. You lock the fan with a pin punch and remove the bolt from behind with an 8-mm hex key.
