indicators,hazard lights

today ,went to use indicators and nothing ,turned on hazards which worked ,then nothing ,no hazards or indicators ,checked fuse there ok,
they seem to not be making the usual loud tick,tick but (a quite tick ) if only for a second or three ,
so checked fuse ,wiring on reverse of hazard switch looks ok,could this be the relay (hazard switch) on its way out.
