Hello,

I've just purchased a Touran 2.0 TDi PD Sport on 55 plate with 35,000 miles. It appears that the brake fluid has never been changed even though the last service (long life) was only done on 04.07.08. The dealer failed to advice/recommend the previous owner at the time of the service. I'm now left in a position that i have to pay out for it

The brakes are very sharp at the moment. My question is should I get the brake fluid chage as a matter of urgency or am I able to hold off for a while. If i wait ,will i do any long term damage??

Thanks

Sattie

You can purchase a brake fluid test from halfords. This will test and let you know.

Brake fluid change is only a recomendation and should be carried out every 2 years.

I only paid £45 at skoda for mine, so a friendly local garage might do this for half the cost.
