I need to the replace the Cylinder head on my 1992 VW type 4 campervan it is a 5 cylinder 2.4 diesel.
Problem is went to lift cylinder head off and there is a metal bracket that runs from the rocker box down to behind the V belts. I have removed five bolts that hold plastic guard on and tried again to lift off cylinder block/bracket etc off and it is held at the bottom near the back by something still and I do not know what or where it is. Can anyone help with what is holding the bracket on. Do I need to take al the v belts etc off just to release the bracket
