After reading all the threads where people have tried many parts sensors mafs and things before reaching the true fault, wouldnt it be a good idea to have a pool of spares that could be tried and returned to the pool.
Im sure an Audi forum paypal account could be set up and some kind of system put in place it would cost each member next to nothing and i think most people are honest, what do the members think?

The idea being you try the part then return it, saving expensive trial and error payments

Sounds like a good idea, but its usually the few unhonest that spoil it for the rest of us. You'd also have to factor in damage done during installation i.e cross threading etc and also people returning the faulty one instead of the new one....

they could pay for the item via a paypal account and then be refunded upon its return after it is checked.

you could put a security marker on the loan part

It is a brilliant idea but the fact that there are lots of different models, older / newer cars (and different revisions on a part) it would make it very difficult to store / keep all the parts.

True could be a tad difficult to set up, could try a paypal account to see what is raised if it doesnt get off the ground simply hand back the cash

Good idea - it would have helped me but if returned part has to be checked would it be viable even if say 10% surcharge on the part price if kept compared to parts counter.

I think theres a niche in the market here for anyone with a part bussiness already established.
