Hi,
I have just purchased a second hand audi a4 Cab and i have looked through the documentaion but cant find a transfer of ownership slip in the service book. Do i need to contact my Audi Dealer to transfer the warranty to me. The car is 12 months old.
Thanks
Carl

I'm in a similar position just bought a 2nd hand Avant with 1 year on the warranty remaining. I'm going to look into this and will let you know what I find out.

I had an A3 before my A4 and i bought that second hand. I bought it from a non audi dealer, so all i done was pop into my local audi dealership and told them the story. They entered all the new details of car ownership into the system. (I presume it was to Audi UK??) but a short while after i started getting mail etc. Also i had a warranty claim to make on the passenger seat airbag and it was sorted staright away!
So my advice is to pop into ur local dealer and ask.
Hope that helps

Thanks for the replies
Yes it's a UK Car. It might just be easier to wait for the first service and then get the details updated on the system.

Hi Carl,
As far as I know the warranty follows the car rather than the owner!!
Audi know when its up as they know when they built it... well allegedly they should know but you what computers are like these days ;)
Just have a chat next time your in and they'll update the details they hold for the car, that's all I've ever had to do anyway!!
Cheers
