Hi all,
Ive fitted some jamex springs to my 1998 1.9tdi A4, and to be honest im getting real fed up! after fitting, it never seemed to sit properly! too low at the back.
Also started getting a horrible knocking rattling sounds coming from the rear, and car would act very strange if hitting bumps and minor pot holes in the road, all twitchy at the back.
A response to a thread i put on here a little while back was that i have probably ripped some bushes out the rear suspension due to not loosening before lowering to the ground after fitting new springs..
Right this is were its starts sounding i bit bodge like!
ive recently fitted jamex shortend rear shocks, (not changed the front shocks because i havent had any probs with them). and since fitting the rear shocks " which were totally knackerd" its got worse and now sits even lower at the back than it did before. Shocks shouldnt control ride hieght should they? Car just looks rubbish.
Now what im thinking is to take the car to my local garage to see if the bushes have gone and then fitting some adjustable coil overs.
Could someone please please inlighten me on what they think is going on with my suspension mare.
As the car isnt a sports car all i want is it to sit right and look good!!!!!
How hard can that be?
thanks people:confused:
