Has anyone on the site experimented with larger injectors? Is there any benifits to this power-wise??

Yeah, on old VE engines, swapping the nozzles from a bigger power engine will give more power but also more smoke. If you have a remap and a bigger turbocharger + a bigger intercooler you will have a lot more Bhp as well. Dont bother with sports exhaust, just replace the standard cat + back box with a straight trough pipe and it will still pass its Mot test. Noise wise it will be ok as the turbocharger muffles most of the engine noise.

When I changed the injectors on my Subaru Wagon to 440's I replaced and upgraded the fuel pump, added a fuel pressure regulator and had it remapped and oh yes up went the power to around 300BHP.

On a petrol car you can get a power increase if the injectors are the 'right flowrate'. The manufacturer tends to set the ecu to deliver somewhere near 14.7:1 air:fuel ratio at wide open throttle. This is when the most complete combustion occurs, but best power is produced at a slightly richer mixture 12.5:1. see the 034 link which is for the Audi Coupe 2.3 20v engine

I think you could get a similar effect by raising the fuel pressure with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The ones from proven products have a faster response time so you could also get a better throttle response.
