Morning all.
Just a quick question. Does anybody know what all the parts behind the steering wheel are for? I know the copper slip ring is for the airbag power but there also seems to be a steering position sensor of some kind (if that’s what it is) and also two little white switches (or at least the tops of the switch) The position sensor seems to locate in a groove on the under cowling of the steering column and i believe the switched are activated when I get to a certain point on the steering lock. Just want to know exactly what they are and what they do. Do they somehow have signal feedback to the powered steering or ABS etc or am I looking too deep?
