Whilst dismantling my car to replace the timing belt I noticed my radiator has a minor weeping leak at the bottom left corner. Not so bad that I've noticed coolant on my drive but definitely leaking. I'm going to fit a new radiator now rather than letting it get any worse, but I was just wondering if this is a common problem with these cars?
Cheers

Nope!
I had the front panel in the "service position" as I was replacing the cambelt but I don't know if this is necessary for changing the radiator. Would guess not.
This post (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=37679&highlight=radiator) is about changing the fan but it gives lots of info on removing the radiator.

Just out of interest, whats wrong with using some rad weld? If the hole is that small it would save money? Unless there are some issues i don't know about using the stuff, please fill me in if so!
