has anybody got experience of remapping the ecu???

I'm considering having it done to get the most per gallon

www.superchips.co.uk (http://www.superchips.co.uk)

and i had these fitted to a car before and it's well worth it

ECU remapping, lots of us have had it done. I got a nice increase on my petrol consumtion over std map.

What car are you running and engine ?

nothing exciting

2.0 8v sharan (115) auto....with superchips i should get an extra 10bhp and with the hi-clone maybe another 10 (8%).

before everyone jumps onto the hiclone thingy....it really works, makes breathless engines that bit perkier

I dont like the idea of the hi-clone and dont know of peoples experience with them.

As your car is a non turbo I wouldnt even exspect gains up to 10 BHP.

Not sure if a remap on a non turbo would give MPG gains.

Paying £xxx.xx amount for a remap is pointless from the money side of things as the money spent could go towards the fuel bill, if a remap did give MPG gains.

the hiclone works on the principal of back pressure in the intake.....releasing the pressure. just like these boy racers and rally cars have bigger exhausts.

having used them before they do work
