Exhaust manifold, its a fairly big, silver cylinder with a big grey wire comming out the top of it.Very easy to change 'should' just unscrew out of the manifold andbe a case of screwing another one in.However it might be seized so lots of WD40 and swearing may be needed.

Yes - massivly. The lambda sensor tells the engine whats being sent out in the exhaust, and thus alters the air/fuel mixture accordingly. If your sensor is either on its way out, or dead then the the engine recieves no info on what is being emmited. It will then set the fuel mixture to a default setting as its better to be safe than sorry, but your performance will suffer.

Hi Chris,
I am showing a 0030 fault for this sensor and can't even get my hands down to it on my 8v auto Bora let alone a spanner!
Sorry for being dull, but is there a 'trick' to getting this sensor out?
Cheers
